NARRATOR: "My life is extinguished. My view is obscured. I only have memories. Memories that evoke the past, a time of chaos, broken dreams, this wasteland. But mostly, I remember The Road Warrior, the man we called Max. To understand who was there to go back to other times when the world worked on the basis of black fuel, and the desert cities arose and steel pipe. Cities disappeared, swept away for reasons long ago forgotten. Two mighty warrior tribes went to war causing a fire that caused the cities. Without fuel and were nothing. They built a straw house, roaring machines gasped and stopped. leaders talked and talked, but nothing could stop the avalanche. The world is staggering, the city erupted in a storm of looting, a firestorm of fear. The men ate men. The roads were endless nightmares. Only those who survived were adapted to survive in the debris, or were so brutal as to engage in looting. Criminal gangs took over the highways, ready for engagement by a tank of gas. And amid this chaos of ruin normal men succumbed crushed, men like Max, Max Warrior with the tremendous roar of a machine lost everything and became a hollow man, a man burned and without hope, a man who , haunted by the ghosts of his past, he threw aimlessly on the moor. And it was here in this desolate place, where he learned to live again. "CURIOSITIES

screenwriters Terry Hayes, George Miller and Brian Hannant were inspired by the samurai films of Akira Kurosawa and in the book" The Hero With a Thousand Faces "Joseph Campbell. When the film premiered in the United States with the title that was released was "The Road Warrior", because Mad Max (the first movie) had a very limited distribution in the country, and considered that " Mad Max 2 "would be a title that would back to many viewers because most would not seen the first part. It was the most expensive Australian film history of the country until its release date in 1941. One of the factors that raise the project was the set that was built, which was also the most expensive in the country until that date. That set was the complex built in the desert of Broken Hills, New South Wales. The production also included a higher proportion explosion created for Australian film to date, which involved the destruction of the scenery. The film's budget was ten times larger than its predecessor. Mel Gibson only had sixteen sentences of dialogue in the film, being two of those "I just came from gasoline." It is the favorite movie of the saga of Gibson. Believe it or not, to extreme cold at the scene of the shooting, so I went marauding particularly because of their "little costumes."
black Interceptor Mel Gibson is driving a Ford Falcon XB GT Coupe, 1973, a car exclusive to Australia. Exported only a limited number of these cars by Ford to New Zealand and the UK, but never to America. Because only 949 models were produced, became relics desired by collectors. Only two original Interceptors were used in all three films in the saga of "Mad Max". The that was used in the first part was modified and reused in the scenes inside and in close approaches around the car, in the second half. When the shooting order alize, the Interceptor was bought and renovated by Bob Forsenko, and is on display at the Museum Cars of the Stars in the UK. Another car was built for the chase scenes in the second movie, but was destroyed when the script reasons forced them to push off the road to explode. Used remains to be seen in Broken Hill, Australia, but due to constant thefts, are no longer there. The Interceptor is located in Planet Hollywood is a replica, and was never used in movies. Max
's uniform in the film is designed according to the consequences of injuries suffered in the first film. A motorcycle ran over his arm, which would cut the sleeve to treat it before removing the entire jacket over a damaged limb. In the first film also shot on his leg, which carries a clamp with a small hand drill. The emblem qu and appears in the tanker's "7 Sisters Oil." This refers to a conspiracy theory that arose prior to the OPEC-related, and which referred to Standard Oil and six additional companies controlled the oil market in the world causing its price to continue climbing. Use was made of more than eighty vehicles in the production of the film. The dog used in the film came from a local kennel. The engine noise was disgusted, and went on to cause it to pee in the car, which had to design for animal caps. After the shoot was taken by one of the cameras.
The narration at the beginning of the film was added to the American premiere, and was not used in Australia. The film was shot in the order of narrative, something unusual in an action movie. One of the most spectacular action scenes was actually a serious accident. One of the motorcycle hits a car to get fired up hit his leg against the car and turning on the air at the camera. The specialist survived, but broke his leg.

PERSONAL NOTE
No doubt this has always seemed to me the best film of the saga, in the sense that it achieves a perfect display of anarchy resulting from an apocalyptic future. This is curious because it tends to be an aspect ignored in this genre of films that tend to show only the destruction, and not the consequences of it. Is this case shows that anarchy apocalyptic as a direct result of the essential need for survival by the characters. But he shows himself to humanity as having the choice to determine their behavior in these decisions extreme.
This second film also marks the beginning of a journey of recovery of the character of Max, which had been destroyed and insensitive in the first film. Max appears to us as well in this film, and its only link to the emotions accompanying the dog. But we began to see how certain characters begin to influence their feelings, which end up being forced to wake up after a confrontation with the leader of the settlers, and when they will pick up despite its rejection in his great moment of need. This characterization and good interpretation is at least curious as Gibson only has fifteen sentences in the entire film.
The action scenes are spectacular and very successful, with a dizzying chases and a scene of unexpected originality when it comes to show the ruthlessness of the marauders. The film has the virtue of not missing a beat for it, even quieter scenes that catch the viewer's interest. It is undoubtedly one of the largest apocalyptic sagas in movie history.
