New dates for Doña Bárbara due to the passage of Hurricane Omar for Puerto Rico

Due to Hurricane Omar for Puerto Rico's play Doña Barbara has postponed its opening for this coming October 21, 2008. All groups had reservations they will be honoring their spaces for these new dates. There is still time for new groups of schools, colleges or universities. The known history of the landed rich, tyrannical, soon conquered by the young lawyer arrived in the city, Luzardo, is interrupted by the presence of the young Casey, daughter Barbara, who falls in love with the young lawyer. Mother and daughter are fighting for love the same man in the middle of the intrigues of the Venezuelan plains. The staging of this production emphasizes the human side of the characters and the relevance of each of them in our society. This setup has the distinction of showing the humanity of each of the characters, even the evil characters. The stunning design elements carry the viewer to this amazing world of chaos and barbarism, lighting and sound play an important role in the development of the plot. Casañas-Cruz is the indomitable Lady Barbara, Carlos Fontané play the young lawyer Luzardo, Rosabel Del Valle to the naive Marisela, José Armando Santos Figueroa to Juan Primito superstitious and Francisco Lorenzo Barquero Hood to consumed. Joining them will be on stage as the loyal Brocco Jose Antonio, Jose Luis Castillo will be the casualty Melquiades, Frankie plays the obnoxious Balbino García Paiba, Luis Javier Lopez with the corrupt Colonel Pernia and Willie Maldonado as the arrival Mister Danger. Rounding out the large cast Lorena López, José A. Soto, Johann Martinez, Alfredo Rodríguez, Jorge Gustavo de los Rios, Jose Daniel Pellot, Gabriel Morales, Carlos Alexis Morales, Sarah Arroyo, Xavier Reyes, Jose Oyola, and Iris Nereida Morcilio. All under the masterful direction of Joseph Aguayo. The technical team consists Alberto Segarra as lighting and Frankie Garcia in the scenery. The sound design is Vivian Casañas-Cruz. The clothing is designed by José Armando Santos. Carmelo Lopez Jimenez in the props and scenery. The assistant director and stage manager Anibal scene is Eric Borcherding Rubio.La photography.
